Professional narrative

About

Raymond A. Starling has served on Smithfield's Board since January 2025 and currently serves as General Counsel to the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce and President of the North Carolina Chamber Legal Institute. He previously served as Chief of Staff to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and as a principal agriculture advisor to the President of the United States at the White House. He holds a BS in Agricultural and Extension Education from NC State University and a JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
