Yes, and it is not a trial. The public website, the Alpha Standard and methodology, Institute research, published executive and company records, the public HTTP endpoints described at /openapi.json, public MCP discovery, and the AI Readiness Eval are all free and require no account.

No. There is no self-serve signup, sandbox, or self-issued key for agents or humans on the approved-access surfaces. An agent can use every public surface immediately without registering. Approved access is requested from a person and reviewed manually.

Approved operations on api.alpha.ac and premium MCP capabilities require an approved organization entitlement; OAuth-capable clients authorize through WorkOS, and active Alpha API keys remain supported during the migration. No. Alpha publishes independent evals, assessments, benchmarks, and standards for enterprise AI governance environments. Alpha does not certify individual AI models, and a rating is an opinion rather than an assurance opinion or investment advice.
